Diary Entry
Monday
Dear Diary, Hello! This is my first entry, now begins the journey of documenting my fascinating life, ha! I kid, it's not terribly exciting but you know, it could always be worse :-) Was woken up by the gorgeous wife presenting me with breakfast in bed this morning!! It was lovely, fried eggs on crusty toast yum yum I could eat it now if it wasn't nearly midnight!
After giving her a kiss goodbye and giving our dog, Kingsbury, a pat on the head I went off to work. It's just an ordinary office job but it will do! I was given the exciting task of filling out paperwork lol! But it was okay, I work very hard and I have heard on the grape vine that I and a few others are up for the chance to be promoted to a managerial position, pretty exciting!
I had lunch with my friend's Fernando, our Italian stallion ha! Paul and Rick. They are a lot of fun and we had a brilliant time in the local pub having tall frosty largers and a glorious pub dinner of steak and chips! At this rate I'll get pretty fat haha!
After work I just settled with the missus in front of the television having a cuddle and watching a nice documentary as Kingsbury rested his head on the sofa for us to stroke. Not very exciting but it'll do for me
:-)
Anyway, ciao for now Diary! x
Tuesday
Hello again! Did you miss me? Haha. I was awoken again with breakfast from the missus, this time a bacon sandwich! It was a little burnt but I didn't mind, she's so thoughtful!
Today I was given my own special task at work! I have to go around the local area and ask how our products are doing for each household. Oh silly me I never did tell you what I do! I work for a large home-ware company, I better not tell you who though! So yes I started on that today which meant I missed out on meeting up with the guys for lunch :-( But it's okay! I want to work extra hard for this promotion. I gave them a text anyway hoping they were having a good time without me, Rick said he was feeling a little under the weather but it was all good.
So yes anyway silly me I went off on a tangent! I went to a few local houses and met some very interesting people! There was a lovely old couple which offered me some werthers originals that was nice of them. I also visited an Orphanage which was pretty different! They all seemed happy and well looked after, nothing like the film Annie! Haha! But I shall be back in a couple of days to provide proper checks on all the appliances. The children were so sweet! They make me think about having kids of my own, I think my wife and I would make great parents one day :-).
When I got back Lucy (My wife, oops forgot to tell you!) Left a note that she was out with her friends for the evening which sounds nice! She always makes sure to spend equal time with them and me, she's just so thoughtful. So I ended up falling asleep with Kingsbury by my side, pretty boring I know! But I have the day off tomorrow and am planning on going for a picnic and then to the theatre with Lucy so I'm looking forward to that!
Night night Diary x
Wednesday
Hello again. Today was well, interesting to say the least! I woke up to the smell of Lucy cooking breakfast once more, scrambled eggs! By the time I got around to eating it though it was stone cold! Silly me. We prepared our lunch and set off for the picnic. Along the way I saw a headline for the local newspaper claiming that there was a hunt on for some local drug dealers. I found this very unsettling, that sort living so close to us. But I let the thought pass as we made out way to the park.
The food was Delicious, until the ants came along! Lucy seemed a little distant today but I know she has a lot to think about what with her job (Social Worker, she's just so lovely.) and she had been out with the girls as well the night before! She had a lovely smile playing on her face so I assumed she was just reminiscing of the night past.
On our way to the theater I got a text from Rick saying he has had to go to the hospital since he seems to be getting progressively sicker. I hope he's alright! I will make sure to check on him tomorrow. The Play was called "The Wrong Suitcase" and it was very good! It was about a man who picked up a suitcase with a midget inside it! Bizarre! However after we left the Theater we tried to get into our vehicle to find a man in there trying to hot-wire our car! Well we found this very odd and were about to call for help but then a police car pulled opposite and pointed a gun at the "jacker", with us in between! It was very scary however thankfully we were left unharmed. We had to go to the police station for them to take down our details so by the time we got home it was very late and we went straight to bed.
A little more interesting than the other days I suppose! Back to work tomorrow though :-( It alright though, the harder I work the closer that promotion comes!
Goodnight x
Thursday
Today wasn't very good. When I woke up Lucy had already left so I had to make myself breakfast, Shreddies. I left and went to work where I was asked to go back and check on all the houses I had previously interviewed. The old couple turned out to be the drug dealers I had mentioned yesterday, they had used our appliances to create a strange substance called "Meth" and by the time I got to the house the police were making their arrests. It turns out one of these "Batches" they were trying to make exploded so they managed to discover this drug den in their basement. As they were being led out of the house they pointed to me and accused me of being the one to supply them with the equipment. This meant I had to go back to the police station once more to fill out a report of the whole situation and argue my side of the story. They found it a little funny that I had been there two days in a row and thankfully they sympathised with me and let me go.
I had to call my boss to inform him of what happened and he told me not to worry and that this sort of thing is unexpected and that no one blamed me which was good to know, I just hope it doesn't affect my chances of a promotion.
When it was all done I was left with enough time to go visit Rick at the hospital. He seemed in pretty bad shape and said that the doctors were unsure of what it was but that he could always get better. Paul seemed to be taking it pretty badly, he looked miserable sitting in the seat next to him. I hope he's alright.
By the time I got home I was pretty tired, Lucy made me dinner though. She's my rock, always. :-) and we nestled into bed together to fall asleep, which was lovely.
Goodnight x
Friday
When I woke up Lucy was not at home, which I found quite strange. I said goodbye to Kingsbury and set off to work once more. When I got there though everyone was staring at me and this must of been because of the incident with the drug dealing OAP's.
My Boss gave me a big smile and told me not to worry, which was nice of him. I spent the rest of the afternoon going back to the other houses and even visited the Orphanage again. This time I needed to bring an expert with me to make checks on all the appliances, this is very important for places like this where a large group of people, especially children, are gathered together; safety is important. After the checks were carried out and both him and I approved of the appliances I went to go visit Rick.
He doesn't seem to be getting much better and you could tell Paul was really taking the strain. Fernando put on a brave face for Rick, he's always been such a good soul. The doctors had done some tests and the results will be in tomorrow so hopefully they will know what it is and how to cure it.
When I got back home Lucy had still not returned, I called her and left her a voice mail message asking where she was however she didn't reply. I stayed up for most of the night waiting for her to return, Kingsbury by my side, until exhaustion set in and I fell asleep on top of the kitchen table.
Saturday
Rick has the Bubonic Plague. Lucy, Paul and Fernando were with me in Rick's room when the doctors came in and informed us. Before this I had asked Lucy where she had been the night before and she told me she had spent the previous night doing overtime work at the Social Care Centre. Apparently the disease is too far set in to be cured and the Doctor even laughed at how peculiar it was for someone to catch the Bubonic Plague whilst Rick lay in the bed with an expression similar to that of withering fruit. Paul ran away in floods of tears when we found out. I tried to run after him however he was gone before I had even got out of the hospital.
When I returned to the room I discovered Lucy and Fernando making love in front of Ricks withering body. I asked them what they were doing but they just ignored me and continued to make passionate love right there on the hospital floor. Acknowledging the fact that they were not going to give me an explanation I ran back home in floods of tears to find comfort with Kingsbury.
I decided to put on a film to distract me from today's horrendous events. There was a film playing on Sky called "Requiem for a Dream" so I decided to watch that with Kingsbury. It was a terrible idea. After watching the film I had almost forgotten what had happened today however once it came back to me I collapsed on the floor and cried for three hours, Kingsbury too distraught from the film to comfort me. I fell asleep in a pool of my own tears.
Sunday
The Orphans died. All of them. I got a call from my boss saying I was needed at the Police Station to write a report about the incident, what with the appliance expert having fled the country. One of the cookers which we had marked to be in good condition had a leak and they all died of gas poising. What with it being the third day in a row that I had to go to the Police Station I didn't need to fill out my details. I don't think they like me very much anymore. I rung my Boss afterwards to ask what I needed to do now, he told me to go home, and never come back.
To clear my mind I took Kingsbury for a walk however as we crossed a road he was run over by the speeding Ferrari driven by Fernando and my ever loving wife Lucy with what I would later discover to be my savings from our shared account flittering out the back of the car.
Picking up his lifeless body I ran up to strangers and begged them to help me, shoving the corpse of my beloved dog in their faces. This seemed to disturb some of them which wound up in being arrested and ending up at the Police Station again. When I walked through a door a majority of them groaned.
While I was left in a cell, Kingsbury's body having been taken away from me so only his faint smell lingered, I could overhear a report coming in that someone had climbed on top of the hospital building with a rifle and was shooting civilians down below. After a couple of hours a call came through and apparently when the Police arrived at the scene he was quoted saying "I'll love you forever Rick" and jumped off the building.
When I was eventually let out I got back home to discover it had been burnt down by all the local drug addicts since I was the one to blame for the sudden halt of supply. I am writing this now sat under a large cardboard box in an alleyway, carving the words into my arm with a piece of glass, what with my diary destroyed in the burning of my house.
I am quite unsure of what I'm going to do now, outside I can hear two homeless men debating who was going to steal the cardboard box off me, what with me being fresh meat and unable to defend myself.
This has not been a very good week for me.
